The Rare Birds Emerging Market Podcast
Sunday News & My Sunday 7's
Greetings Rare Ones,
To new readers this is the Rare Birds Emerging Market Podcast Newsletter. Each week I send out this long form newsletter to our community of Rare Ones as I have conversations with entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders and investors from across emerging markets. This long form newsletter is a deep dive into one or several themes discussed in the podcast episode. Before we begin, don’t forget to subscribe and share this newsletter with your friends and remind them to tell their friends too.
In addition, each Sunday I send out the Sunday News! It is an action packed news breakdown of the best curation of blockchain news and blockchain podcasts from across emerging markets. Here is a snippet.
In the meantime here is a look at My Sunday Seven’s from this weeks Sunday News.

Meet the Leader: A Podcast from The World Economic Forum
I recently retweeted:
"Real Time Retail is one of my favorite new ecommerce models coming out of Asia, along with Shopatainment. This business model couldn't come sooner for GenZ. I’m psyched to see more companies adopt the learnings worldwide. So what exactly is it? A thread: "

"How do we create innovative thinkers?"
This is the question I am pondering this week. After my conversation with Jahannie regarding innovation, education and technology in Puerto Rico I started pondering how do we build the innovators of the future!
This is the question I am pondering this week.
This week I have been watching The European Blockchain Conference.
The EBC Virtual is a comprehensive one-week event filled with inspiring keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, one-to-one meetings and high-level networking.
I have been reading a few things this week.
How dApps differ from traditional Apps.
"Decentralized applications, also known as dApps, are a new type of software application, or you can say they are digital applications that, instead of running on a single computer, run on a peer-to-peer blockchain network. " You can get it here.
Did you know there were: The New Seven Wonders of the World ? They include places like Colombia and this one in Sri Lanka.
"An ancient palace hewed into an ethereal rock mound at the behest of King Kashyapa in the fifth century A.D., Sigiriya is the perfect amalgam of human-made treasure and natural wonder. Nicknamed Lion Rock—a reference to the paws sculpted into the base of the 660-foot-tall stone—it includes elaborate cisterns and gardens, frescoed caves, and a winding stairway to the crowning citadel."
I will be attending Africa Blockchain Week in Morocco (virtually of course)!
